Need help Octopuss nw-150

Hey guys ,, I picked up this skimmer from another member ,, it has the gate mod on it ,, I woke up this morn to my sump full if foam ,, I unplugged it and cleaned the collection cup and opened up pump cleaned needlewheel and. Impeller ,, and as soon as I plug it in it fills with water and foam flows out the top and overflows everywhere , I cleaned the Venturi line also ,, can anyone help me with this ??????

how deep is it in the water? i think its not suppose to me more then 9" or so.

It's in 10 inches of water and has been working dine for close to 5 months Now,, this morning it's covered in foam

normally the only time my skimmers would overflow would be due water level. try lowering the water level manually pick it up if anything and watch the foam level drop.

well i raised her 1 inch ,,,and she is back to normal after 2 days ,,,,i dunno,,,maybe she had a mood swing

Did you add any new chemicals to the tank? I run mine in 8"s of water and works great.

Did you use a brand new filter sock?

filter socks get changed every 3 day ,,,,and no new chemicals have been added,,,just daily dosses of a and b
