I have heard that they will nip / eat corals not sure which ones . My friend had a file fish for aptasia control , when the aptasia was gone the fish started to eat some of his softies, etc. Sorry I dont know the exact corals.

they are coral eaters but i think you would notice him nipping. when i had a camo filefish he would nip at corals...then leave them alone. never would fully eat a coral. when he nipped at them though he always left perfect circle nip marks so i knew it was him...

I just gave my bristle tail away because I watched her go around and nip every one of my LPS corals, especially my acans, which don't seem to be recovering. She even ripped a tentacle off my torch coral, ate the skirts off some zoas, and nipped 2 brand new rics to the point that they have shriveled. They do a good job with the aiptasia, but once they destroy the population there's a pretty good chance that they'll go after something tentacle-y.

Also, I had to pull apart my rockwork to get the damn thing out. Slow moving fish seem to get really fast when they see that net...
