Canopies

Anyone know where you can get replacement plastic attachment for the glass canopies on oceanic tanks? (the piece on the back of the canopy, that can be cut for various tubes etc.)

When I acquired my tank the strip had already been replaced with a plastic door sweep and silicone. I didn't even notice until I went to take it off to clean it. The plastic peeled off and I had to take a minute and scrape the glass, but it seemed to work fine.

most lfs's carry the plastic stripping and charge by the foot-unless this is for thicker glass ?

I think they call them "versa tops", you can obviously buy the whole kit including glass lids, hinge and rear plastic strip. My Pets Plus however also sells it by the foot. Like vitz said, if your lids are the older thicker ones you may have difficulties finding it to fit and may have no choice other than to purchase the entire new kit with the newer thinner glass.
