This is a "Liquid rubber" sealant that makes some serious claims.

Has anyone ever used or considered using this to seal there stands?

I am considering building stands that will have a "drip pan" as a bottom, so that they can not flood from the inside. Hopefully this will prevent all leaks or floods that might happen from the sump, or under-tank area. Should also help protect wood from moisture/water, right?

What are your thoughts on this?
Keep in mind that any water that comes in contact with this "rubber" will be discarded.

Thanks,

Phil

you can buy the same stuff at any auto parts store or walmart, it is nothing but car under coating, i almost laughed when i seen the commercial on tv for it, it cost about 4-7 a can, must be sprayed outside in a ventilated area

Aquatic Eco-systems sell epoxy paint that many facilities use in raceway tanks. This paint is not a joke and it will do the job for many many years. Here is the link......http://search.aquaticeco.com/index?D=epoxy+paint&Nty=1&N=0&Dk=0&Ntt=epoxy+paint

Yeah I saw an article about one Norwegian guy who built his tank out of plywood (only the front panel was glass)m and he used that paint to seal the wood. It was interesting build but a hell lot of work to complete.
