Many critters like crabs are considered reef safe but...keep in mind many reef safe critters are also 'opportunistic feeders' meaning IF what they want to eat is not available to them - they will eat other things.
There are plenty of references on the net that the younger an emerald crab is the more it will stick to eating algae..the older ones can develop a taste for corals :(
Eating Fruit Loops is an expensive diet :(
You need to banish that guy to your sump asap..and if you can't catch him right away..then move the fruit loops there until you can catch him!
