I bought a Wrasse yesterday and put him in my tank the other fish in the tank seemed fine with him. he was swimming around i left the room and when i returned 5 mins later he was no where to be found havent seen him since is this normal for these fish?

I just Googled that name and Yes thats what it is. So i shouldnt worry its normal for him to hide for a few days...ok thanks

Yes it is normal for them to bury in the sand for a few days ( they sleep there at night as well). Not all wrasses do this, but many do. Did you research this fish at all? How big is your tank? They get VERY large as adults ---- like over a foot long large. They also look totally different as adults.

i have a 72 now but will be setting up another tank in a few months. looking at a 180 or a 200 gal for my next setup
