I bought a Wrasse yesterday and put him in my tank the other fish in the tank seemed fine with him. he was swimming around i left the room and when i returned 5 mins later he was no where to be found havent seen him since is this normal for these fish?

He is either hiding in the rocks or the sandbed or he jumped ship and is laying on the floor behind your tank. Hopefully its the rocks or sandbed

sounds to me like a Twin spot wrasse. google the pic.
but if it is that wrasse they do hind in the sand alot. it can be a few days that u dont see him.

its normal.. he will come out when he feels more comfortable. i wouldnt worry

Yes it is normal for them to bury in the sand for a few days ( they sleep there at night as well). Not all wrasses do this, but many do. Did you research this fish at all? How big is your tank? They get VERY large as adults ---- like over a foot long large. They also look totally different as adults.
