re seio 620

One of my seio 620 pumps "sputters" and emits microbubbles in the tank every once in a while.

I clean the seios in a distilled water/vinegar solution every two months. Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem with these pumps.

you probably have it too close to the water surface, consequently it draws a vortex of air into the pump making the sputter noise and micro bubbles

The pump was originally designed as a pump for their skimmer. There is a little blue screw on the top of the pump motor where an air hose can be attached to suck in air.

If it's to high up.....you can visibly see the water being sucked in from the surface (every so often).
Also, keep the venturi knob in the closed position (tightest).

how do u have it set up? I find that if the plastic cover is on a lot of crap gets stuck in there , even if u clean it often.
