My male Cinnamon clown hosts duncans as well when he's not tending the eggs. Don't know if it affects growth, but the duncans don't seem to be bothered by him.
My clowns prefer my Duncan over the bta. The Duncan doesn't seem to mind and has grown 10 times its size in a year. I think the Duncan may benefit from the clown just like an anenome would.
Clown host a lot of corals almost anything that move like an anenome mine host my open brain/frogspawn /torch /Duncan / and when I had the other clowns not too long ago there was two that hosted my xenia and anthelia forest

Warren, please come over, and have a talk with my snowflake! Stupid fish is hosting on of my echinata even though it could choose from 3 torches, 3 frogspawns, 3 hammers, goniopora, alveopora, duncans, bubble corals.LOL
To the OP, as already stated just keep an eye on the duncan for any signs of stress, then decide which means more to you if things go down hill.
Three days later the Duncan actually look even happier than it's ever look. I personally think this pair is beneficial. Both the coral and the clown are very happy
