Filter Sock

I have two returns going from my overflow boxes into my sump. I have filter socks over the ends of both returns in my sump. How many microns should the filter socks be? I have a PCX-55HP main pump.

i use 100 micron filter socks they work great....

not completely submerged.. id say on mine a lil more then half is submerged in water...

no cause u have a lil less then half the bag above water... thats how i have it, i have to clean it a lil more frequently my sump is only a 20 Long so i dont have the room i want to have the bag more out of the water.... when my bag gets dirty the water jus flows over the edge of the bag. and if there is any diatrus it will either land in the overflow area of my sump or between the 3 baffles...
