Eco Tech Customer Service Rocks!

This isn't news to anyone who has dealt with them before, but I feel compelled to remind everyone. I have been very happy with my Gen 1 Radions, but recently decided to upgrade them to the Pros. The process involves sending your units back to Eco Tech for the upgrade--meaning you are without your lights until they return them to you. While geography certainly plays a positive role ( Fed EX ground is overnight from NYC to Eco Tech ) fast turnaround is critical. They did not disappoint.

I sent my units back to them on Monday in the late afternoon. They received them at 9:00 the next morning. They were on their way back to me yesterday and are already re-installed over my system. Note this is 4 units that needed upgrading. I can't imagine a quicker turn around time.

While I don't intend this as an LED evaluation thread, I will simply say that the Radion Pros look fantastic-- definitely an improvement ove the Gen 1's ( which I already liked)--They are noticeably brighter, spectrally fuller and much less disco ball color banded.

With so many available options in the LED market, customer service is a really important factor in deciding which lights to invest in. While Eco Tech has not cornered the market in this area, they certainly have it covered.

Kudos to EcoTech.

They do have great customer service, and the upgrade option is a nice touch. They should be commended on that. Everyone should mostly be in agreement there.

Do I believe their lights are worth what they charge, or why 10 leds and a $5 led driver costs $200 more on the Pro over Gen 2? No, but that's a different topic.

No company manufactures a perfect product. Therefore, at some time or another, customer service is going to be necessary for a certain percentage of the product sold. The more sales, the higher the likelihood of the need for c/s. When c/s is needed, however disappointing that may be, at least you know you'll wind up satisfied with EcoTech. EcoTech has never disappointed in this category. As Randy has stated, much more eloquently than me I might add, EcoTech 'certainly has it covered', and I couldn't agree more.

Had a vortech malfunction and it was replaced ASAP. Better than a lot of companies out there.

I agree also, I had to replace a Vortech and it was done very fast. Also, the Radion Pros are awesome, I have 2 units over my 80 gallon shallow tank and I love them. I'm running them at 20% so far and they are super bright, love all the color combinations and the ease of use.

Great service

I have to agree on their customer service. Had troubles initially programming 4 radions over my tank and after a call then logged into my computer and helped me spending the afternoon with me to get them set how i wanted. Then when I had one power supply fail, I had a new unit the very next day. They are the best.
