Thought I'd share a quick fix for those who have
any issues on their Vortech MP10 or similar series
power heads making any obnoxious noises on the dry side.

So, if you hear this annoying humming sound and moving
it and repositioning it constantly without getting any results, try changing the modes.

I had mine on blue mode and switched to the pink lagoon mode. No more sound.
Or you can take it apart and lube it with grease.

Just my two cents.

You can't take it apart and lube it with grease as the ball bearings are encased and only the shaft spins.

I had a lot of issues where the pump would shift and I'd get a lot of vibration noise. I reduced the pin spacer one notch and it doesn't budge now. Different issue than OP but still a good tip.

FYI.... Also check the magnet in either the MP10 or MP40 since to rotate at such a high rate (harmonics balance) and are in saltwater the magnets may start to pull apart in small area around it self. Easy was to make sure this isn't the issue is by de-assembling the wet-side and pressing around the magnet also looking for any rust. If you find either then replace the magnet and the your MP will hum silently. Just another possible issue
