What do you attribute to the PE in the millepora?

The Acropora you are refering to is A. cytheria I believe and common named Red Planet. Good PE on this family is easy as it is has the genetics for this trait. PE in general is alway good if pests are not present, water quality is exceptional, and a good amount of protiens are added daily and processed efficiently. The big three ( Alk,Mg,and Cal) should be close to NSW and very stable also. Small daily variations irritate some acroporas and tend to knock PE down to a minimal as does excessive levels of PO4 and NO3. Low Mg will also tend to keep PE low and a slightly elevated level of 1400 to 1500 ppm in some instances seems to positively effect extension . Excessive par will limit PE and photo inhibition or stunting can occur. too many variables to pin point but these are my big indicators that I keep a eye on if PE is weaning.
