I got my liverock off a local reefer who had some green palys. I got the sps bug and they are multiplying and taking up alot of real estate and stinging the bottoms of my acros. Ive tried removing and scraping my rock twice now and theyve come back with a vengance. Cant do that anymore with my sps now encrusting the rocks. Anyone know of any fish/inverts that like to snack on palys but will leave my acros and montis alone.

I had a pair of butterfly fish (Heniochus) that picked on neon green palys. They constantly picked on the polyps and they were never allowed to open up. However, they didn't "eat" them. Those Palys were huge! In the end, the Palys outlived the Heniochus.

Thanks for all the help guys and its a 70 gallon. I do have a one spot foxface an cant believe im saying it in a bad light but he is a model reef citizen unfortunately. Id likely be too small for any of the larger reef angels, but dont know much about any of the butterflys. Is there one that has a taste for palys but would leave my acros alone? I read somewhere that brown filefish can have a taste for zoas, anyone else hear of that?

Yea with my luck i'll get the reef safe filefish and cnt believe im complaining at that. Maybe ill just have to start wrapping my palys in mysis to convince my fox they are tasty treats. If not i've gotten to the point where i need convince my lfs to special order me a cleanup crew of sundial snails and zoa nudis.
