what have people done to reduce the noise that a tank makes. my 120 RR sounds like a jacuzzi I put the durso standpipe that got rid of the gurgle, new pumps, skimmers not on while I cycle, Its just a lot of water moving around? What have people done?

where is all the water noise coming from that you are hearing. is the overflow pipe above the water line in your sump. Can you take a video and post it on here start with the tank, move to the durso then down to the sump area. I hardly hear my 120 gallon except for the vortechs pulsating.

I just found it, the last baffle in my sump had a waterfall I forgot my tank evaporates about a 1/2 gallon a day. Looks like I'll have to add enough saltwater to keep the final chamber high enough that I won't have to physically top off every day, or is that something people do? My first tank this size.

I actually bought the system second hand and since I live in a condo I put some things in storage. One thing that may be the top off is this extra chamber that attached to my Rodi unit then to a 5 ft tall bucket with a float. It wasn't hooked up to their tank so I didn't see how to connect it to mine. Is there something I could put under my tank where my sump is?

i wrapped dynamat around my pipes in the past and it greatly reduced the noise level for me.

I didn't even think of that and I used to have it on my car when I was younger and drove around blasting my music!! I'm gonna wrap my whole stand in that stuff lol!!
