Who's The Culprit

So I notice that somebody been chomping on my caps. I have a chevron, purple tang, mystery wrasse and fire fish in that tank. Who's my culprit??

Hmmm, all are supposed to be good in reefs... but if the culprit pool can only be them, I'd go with the tangs.

Same here, the purple one is too popular with overly stocked reefs... I doubt people would like it so much if it had it in him to go out and chomp on corals.

Monti eating nudi branch. It's not something you buy it's a pest. Look with a flashlight at night to see if you see any

They are very difficult to get rid of but you can try to dip and scrub underneath the montis with a toothbrush. That will help get rid of the eggs and nudis.

The usual nudibranch cure are some types of Wrasse; but if you find an adult nudibranch, then you might have a whole lot more to deal with.

Theres a mystery wrasse in there now. From the looks of it, he's doing his job. lol I'm coral to dip my corals and see what happens.

Unless your dipping in peroxide your wasting your time. Scrape the adults and eggs off or just throw it out. They'll devour the whole thing.

I dip it in coral rx. Will that do the trick or should I still dip in peroxide? Also Should I do this for all my sps thats in there?

dont use peroxide on sps
6line wrasse is the best for pest, but monti eating nudis are a biotch to get rid of if thats what it is. personally years back after months of fighting them i just tossed all my monties

You siphon and dip (I used Bayer) and like Rob&Gab said they'll come out at night. look under where the coral meets the LR.

I dont think it will so i took a tooth brush to the underside and trimmed off deep areas then dipped again but you need to wear gloves and glasses with the Bayer its a nasty pesticide.
