ID please

Hi, can someone ID this for me. It is about the size of a dime.

I don't think so. This little guy does not have a skeleton. It is attached to a little piece of lr. Sort of looks like a tiny long tentacle anemone, or perhaps a polyp. Just want to be sure it is not a nasty little aistapia. It is about the size of a dime.

Man I had one of those and it split into nine, killing off my mushrooms....don't know what it is...looks like a very small anemone, burgandy color......i ended up removing all of them cause they started to spread throughout my tank trying to kill coral...have u notice they eat mysis shrimp.....

Thanks Scarf. I haven't noticed what it eats. But others of my anemone do eat mysis shrimp, and they aren't aiptasias.

I have 4 of them. So far the only thing they are growing near is zoos and the zoos seem OK with it. They are getting bigger though. One is approaching quarter size. We'll see if he remains harmless.

Thanks Leslie, wait and see is all we can do. Reefman, I never even thought of that one. And I should have since I have 2 rock anemone. They don't really look alike but my 2 rock anemone do not look alike either.

Leslie as soon as the lights come on I'll post a pic or two of them.

Deanos I checked out those aipstasias, some of them look like rock anemone. This is quite scarry.

Hi Leslie, here are the pic of the 2 rock anemones. They are about 4" in diameter.
Hope the attachment feature worked for me this time.
