Fritz's no luck weekend

SO first my topoff switch failed, now my vortech died. What's worse is that I have it hooked up to an Icecap Battery backup. I was going to pull my sump and clean out my return pump etc. I used my Reef Keeper 2 to cut the power to each of my devices. As I was unscrewing some of the union valves I noticed my polyps weren't moving. I look at the readout of the RK2 and I saw that I accidently cut the power to the vortech. Oddly enough the Battery Backup wasn't powering the vortech. I put power back on the channel that runs my vortech and nothing. I played with it for a bit trying different things but it's done.

Time to e-mail icecap.

no offense fred, but weren't you the one telling everyone to get off of the vortech bandwagon? BB guys are switching... maybe vortech guys will go back to tunze?

Naa I like my Vortech. It is still running strong. Remove power, clean the wetend...always starts back up.

Ha, that's exactly what I did Kasei. Cleaned the wet end, set it to low, separated it from the battery backup, plugged it back in and it started up perfect.
