I know this isn't a tank fish, but I thought someone here could ID it.

The fish was caught in the Hudson Caynon(Atlantic Ocean)
90 miles off NJ coast or so in the Gulf Stream.
It was caught on a jig at abought 100ft( not on the bottom) we were in about 500ft of water where we were anchored.

Scarf, the Hudson Canyon is 66mi south of Shinnecock inlet.

Kedd, I've seen a pic of that fish before but I don't remember the name. If no one can ID it here try at Noreast.com.

The boat had 40-50 with 23 people.
I had 4 plus whatever this fish I posted was, and steve had 3 all on the jig.
It was great weather, a little cold at night but all in all a great trip.

Thank Romain!
I knew someone here would know it.
To answer you question, no I didn't eat the crew wanted to keep and I let them
I would have tossed it back but it blew it's swim bladder on the way up, and I think would have just been killed by seagulls anyway.
So I let them keep it.
