red growth/ something in rock

ok curious if anyone can help me out, first pic is of my ref. my rock has a purple color to it but the green hair algea s turning purple to as well as air bubbles on it. second is a pic of something on my rock. on the right of rock, kinda a orange color. have another on another rock lives in a hole in rock but the other only comes out at night

if your talking about the thing circled ,is a Aiptasia.

nyreefnoob- in the first pic i think you are talking about cyano. it could be due to many things. you can increase flow, increase filtration(skimmer) and feed less. these things couple help eliminate it. also, are you using ro/di water or tap water for your tank?

it might be some form of aptashia. but it really doesnt draw back quick. i had a problem with aptasia at first. the more brownish yellow, but this is orange, i do run a skimmer all the time more for water movement, getting a 65 tommorrow

from the looks of ur set up the cyno is in ur overflow/refugium area? if thats the case dont worry about it, best it grow there then in ur tank
