oxygen meters DO........

hello all. i have come upon a new thing i need to understand and thought i would give it up here to see if anyone can tell me the difference.

oxygen probe for a neptune controller is 450$
pinpoint oxygen meter is 250$.

that being said aside from the obvious things being, color shape, size and of course, price. whats the difference and why such a drastic price change between the 2?

Without researching each product, I'd guess the Pinpoint will only give you a value, whereas the neptune controller will allow you to turn equipment on/off based on a value. Similiar to the difference in price between a pH controller and a pH meter.

I knew I should have done research first...:banghead:

Pinpoint states: "Competes with meters in the $700 range." Maybe they just found a cheaper way to produce the product.
