because no one was responding to my post and i did not take a chance on this crab doing any damage to the coral. now i am sure he can't hurt the coral.

Ugh, there are so many great animals that you don't see in captivity for above posted reasons. Your crab quite likely (you said was harry?) was bad but until you're sure, the logic of "if you don't know what it is KILL IT"
is just bad reef keeping.

I meant my comment more for other newer reef keepers that might read this thread and start killing everything they can't identify or don't want to bother looking up on google. :) It wasn't a "dig" towards you.

i know fritz, but you are correct. so to all the newbies do not try this stunt at home. fritz is right but there was now way i was getting this crab out so i felt that it was my only choice.
