Fellas and Ladies, I just bought a ER 6-2+ upgrading from my CS-80 skimmer.
It came with the sedra 5000 water pump which ER tells me there is a new needle wheel available for 49.00 which will increase performance by 17% of this 500 gph pump. I am torn- I have read that folks have modified the needwheel ocean runner 2700 with a drill hole, some tubing and a valve to adjust the airflow and this pump does over 600 gph- simple mod. I also have seen many high quality skimmers like Schuran running the Aquabee 2000/1 and it is a monster. I can't pull the trigger ( no pun ) on what to buy and need a hand. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Phil
