White string on my tang

So i saw that my tang has a white string on him could it be parsites?

What part of the body does it have the white string? What does it look like, is it long and thin and moving or just attached to the fish?

Long white string attached 2 the tang it?s like he was taking a dump but it didn?t fall off

It?s not on him now but noticed it yesterday I started to add garlic to the frozen food

Was it his poop? If so it may have to do with what you're feeding it.

Think it was his poop it was hanging on him from the bottom of his body but as far as feeding i Feed frozen brine n mysis shrimp I add selcon 2 it let it soak before I feed them I stopped with the selcon and started using garlic

If the fish continues to show those symptoms, you should mix Seachem Metroplex and Focus into your food. It's usually a sign of internal parasites.

It should not because you are targeting the medicine in the fish food. Best to not to broadcast feed if possible.

how about dr gs caviar and frozen food i saw it online its supposed to treat for parasites

What you're feeding it isn't right, you need to get more greens and algae into its diet. Things like Spiralina Flakes, Formula Two Flakes and Pellets and Nori sheets is what it needs, not brine shrimp or Mysis.

There's a frozen flat pack which requires overnight shipping or there's a refrigerated liquid caviar version which only requires 2-day shipping ($7.99 @ Premium Aquatics) if no LFS has it.
Maybe call a few LFS in the Bronx to see if they carry.

cant do it have corals in the tank and i have no qt tank thinking of setting one up where do the worms come from?
