How long do Icecaps last?

Yes, they can be repaired. IceCap has a mfr's forum on Reef Central (is mentioning them here a no-no?). You can ask them there or go to their web site.

I have an Icecap 440 ballast that I think died. I've gone over all the connections and can't find anything amiss. The ballast is about 6 years old. Is this old for an Icecap? Can they be repaired?

I just bought an Icecap 660 ballast on Friday, wired it up most of Saturday. It's been running great for two whole days.
