Hey,

I picked up an bta from a lfs, it was only housed under 1 no actinic, so as u can guess it is pretty bleached. I knew they had no knowledge of how to keep them healthy so i decided to try and save it. Right now its in my 80gal tank that (for the moment) only has 4no bulbs on it (going to get 2 175 10k soon). I plan on feeding it very heavely in the mean while, to make up for lack of light. WHen i got it it was really shrunken, the tenticals didn't look full at all, if given enough feeding do you think there is a chance of recovery? i have it a piece of krill today and it stuck to what tenticals that were inflated...

I bought one under similar circumstances that was snow white but it was taking food and moving it into it's mouth. I raised the amount of light it was getting untill it turned nice and brown. If it does not attach and/or put the food in it's mouth and keep it there the odds are against it. Make sure to place it where it can shade it's foot like a short piece of PVC or a nich/ledge under a rock. Don't give it much more light than it's used to for now. It doesn't need a sunburn to contend with also. Good luck.
