New RO/DI - DI only half full

I have a new Kent Maxima RO/DI 60 gph. I have it all hooked up as per the directions. Everything seems to be fine other than the DI canister is only 1/3 to 1/2 full (of water). Does anyone know if this is normal?

Its hard to understand the plumbing of your unit. (By the way I hop you got the Hi-S, ATL silicates are bad stuff.) Anyways, thats where it should be. Water is coming out isnt it? Dont worry! Sit there and look at it for a few hours... youll understand. Pressure... Hope I helped!

Thanks for the post, yes I did get the HiS, and I'm looking foward to seeing the benifits of low phosphate and silicate. Water is coming out and all appears to be well, I was just exprecting the DI section to be full like the others.

That is normal. Mine is the same way and the instructions even address this.

Just unscrew the clear canister whilst is running and bleed off the air....

Why would you want to? Every time you unhook it and hook it back up youll have to go through it again. It is unnessesary.
