Eheim pump failure

My second hand CO2 reactor's Eheim pump quit pumping. Any of you have any ideas on what I can do to try to revive it before I part with more of my money? It is the small 1048 model. I took it apart last night and found the impeller spins and the motor runs but it won't pump any water.

if its anythign like the ehiem on my koralin calcium reactor, try it submersed in water see if that works, as they dont pump anything untill the intake tube is full of water, but it may be different to mine hope it helps

I second JimBo's recommendation that you make sure the pump is primed with water before you turn it on. I've been running 1060s on my tank for four years now and have no problems at all.
