Rainbow Lifegard 40 W UV

Hello,

Anybody knows how often you need to replace this UV's bulbs?... every 6 months, 9, 12? 12.5????

When I had a Fish only tank, I used a 25Watt lifegard about 12 hrs a day and I replaced the bulb annually. I dont run UV on my reef.

So that is replace the bulb every 6 months?... is that what the instructions say to do?, I've read about other make (emperor) andtheirs are switched every 12 months...

I know, but he also mentioned that he ran his UV 12 hours a day... see?
