I have a chance to get a 75 gallon all glass tank that has been set up for 8 months. it has an overflow a mag 9 power drive a sump 440watts vho lighting with hood sump and stand also has a wavemaker with 3 maxijet 600 powerheads and a live sand bed. He is selling it for 700 I have considered doing a 55 gallon with no overflow no stand and I would have to buy the wavemaker. Which would you do?

Jump on the 75, sounds like a good deal. The extra width of the 75 makes it much better than the 55 as far as aquascaping is concerned, not to mention you're getting a sump and wavemaker, which the 55 doesn't include. Just IMO.

does it come with live rock? Skimmer? Sounds a little odd to have a set-up without these two vitals. But for what it comes with, it is a great deal. The 440 watt VHO, live sand bed, wavemaker, overflow..all the marks of quality reef equipment. I say go for it.
