I recently purchased this medusa worm (48 hours ago) for my reef tank. What do I need to know to keep it and the other critters safe and well? Feeding etc.?
Thanks,
CJ
I read your other thread. You might be better off returning your medusa worm to the store. They can be toxic when they die and possibly wipe out your whole tank. I've seen this happen personally when one got caught in a powerhead. You have been warned.
There really isn't much you can do to take care of this animal. They just clean detritus off the sandbed and rock surfaces and that's all they need for nutrition. As long as you have some sort of fish-feeding cycle in your tank your worm should have food around.
Make sure you have powerheads with very fine screens so your worm can't get partially sucked into them. Your medusa worm may be able to climb glass and get where sea cucumbers wouldnt normally be able to go, so watch out.
