What is pickling lime and where to get it ???

I live in Michigan, and stop bu walmart to buy pickling lime. No one at walmart seem to know what it is, so they said they don't have it. Went to meijer, the same thing; no one seem to know what it is. Would any one of you happen to have a picture and posted on the site.

Pickling Lime is used for home canning. Look in your local supermarkets in the canning section. It might be a little late in the season as most stores stock it primarily in the Summer or very early Fall. There are two main products: Mrs. Wages' Pickling Lime and Ball Pickling Lime. Both are essentially the same; Calcium Hydroxide, as in Kalkwasser.
