Last night i was feeding the tank and i usually give my emerald crab a piece of seaweed everynight.....this time it took me a little longer to give it to him cause i was just dazed into the tank....and i'm watching him and he comes up to the glass gives me the finger and runs to my devils hand and takes a bite out of it  i couldn't believe it....i fought him away with a feeder stick and fed him a big piece of seaweed so he could be full...i feed this little mutha:bunnies: everyday so he'll leave my coral and fish alone and he still wants to taste the forbidden fruit...if i catch that little bastard commit another Reef sin he going to the triggers.... :eat:

They also eat snails. They need meat in their diet. It took me over 2 weeks to catch the 2 of mine. 1 nice trick is to have a medium sized LR leaned to a corner of the tank. Tie a piece of fish to it. The crab will go eat and you fish out the rock with it on.

Mine ate everything except bubble algae, which was what I got them for a few years ago before I had my current tank. SPS and LPS were fair game.

If you need to catch it, use the old shallow glass jar trick and bait it with something it likes, and put it near some LR.
In short it can climb in but can't climb out.
