I had a green and white candy can which seemed to be doing very well. Last two weeks it turned almost white. It still looks fine besudes it lack of color. Any ideas why it did this?

What kind of light do you have and how long do you have it on? How big is your tank and how deep is the coral placed at (from the light source)? Lastly, Does your water have a yellow tint to it?

I am speculating inadequate lighting.

There will be an article about this in the February issue of Advanced Aquarist, which comes out tomorrow.

Aren't candy corals supposed to be out of the light or at least in somewhat dim light. I have had some going for a long time now. When they were in the light they didn't do so well, but once I put them in the shade they really flourished. I could be way off here.
