Either tomorrow or Saturday I bring my Ten-Gallon Nano to Be to the shop to set up. My first priority is cycling and testing the water as it cycles (and all the time after) as far as I understand the priorities are:

Ammonia 0mg/l
Nitrite 0mg/l
Nitrate <10mg/l
pH 8.2-8.3
Temperature?
Alkalinity?

Question marks by temperatur and alkalinity. I live in Florida, temperature is high, so I'd rather stay near high 70's to 82 degrees.
Alkalinity? Is this fine-tuning pH?

Most accurate test kits please?

Ca- 400 mg/L to 475 mg/L
Salinity 35 ppt (1.0265 SG @ 78F)

Also, what books do you have? There are two books that I find entirely indispensable:

Aquarium Corals Selection, Husbandry, and Natural History by Eric Borneman
Natural Reef Aquariums by John H. Tullock

Although Erics book is great I dont think this is a great book for the newbie. Tullocks book would be a better choice. My first book was Marine Aquarium Referance by Martin Moe but this info is a bit outdated now.

I would worry about the heat in flordia, a nano can overheat really fast. Make sure the tank stays in air condition in the summer.

That name sounds very familiar, either I am thinking of someone from Corvetteforum.com or I bought some art work that are dolphins carved out of (could have been mold from original) a white hard chalk placed on drift wood. I gave it to my sister so I can not just check.

But Albert Jeffers has a familiarity that I can not place.

I dunno. No corvette here. I haven't made any driftwood artwork, but now that you mention it, sounds like a good idea. I'm originally from Morristown, NJ. Now I live in Fort Lauderdale.
