Well, I know shipping around now is kinda hectic but I went ahead and had some corals shipped anyways. Good news is that the corals made it, the bad news being that the box was damaged in transit and there is nothing I can do right now. My advice, STAY AWAY FROM UPS! They don't even compare to FEDEX, my last few shipments from ups either hasn't made it or ends up bent and broken. Please, ship FEDEX. The box that was shipped to me was in a cardboard box with a 1 inch thing styrofoam insulation with all corals wrapped in 3 bags and they still got mauled to death. I hope they are still around by 10A.M. tomorrow morning or UPS will have quite a case on their hands. Sry, just venting. Thanks for listening...

I hear what your saying about shipping via UPS they are rough on all packages. The other thing you should think about is how your livestock is packed by the MO company. I know this dosen't help when things are late, but its something to think about. I hope everything works out. Keep us informed.

Uhhh....To everyone:

Next time you MO, when the box arrived and appears to be damaged,
1. Ask the carrier to file a damage report.
2. You can then ask the carrier if you can open the box to inspect if the content is damaged as well (during this process, the driver has to be present to watch you open up the boxes and inspect content)
3. If the contents appears to be OK, you will have the choice to either keep or refuse the shipment.
4. If you decide to keep it, call the MO company immediately and report the damage and tell them that you have also filed a damage report with the driver.
5. If later-on the live specimens are found to be damaged, you still have the option to call the MO company for refund/replacement ..........remember the damage report you filed? this is where you use it.

Lastly, ALL SHIPPING CARRIERS ARE THE SAME, THEY ALL THROW AND DROP BOXES. Trust me, I know, as my company do MO nationwide and uses many of these carriers. It maybe your luck with some shipments by Fedex, but your statistics are skewed. You have maybe 5 samples, where as my company have a million samples. Go figure.
