Okay, I want a tank raised fish... not necessarily captive bred.

I'm not looking for clowns, gobies, or dottybacks.

I'm looking for fish raised to juveniles from being pulled out of the reef as fry/planktonic stage.

I have found a couple on FFE, but only a few.

I found some Asfur angels and Hippo tangs, but they are in a store which won't ship them. They only told me they get them from C-Quest.

I asked about C-Quest having gone out of business, and the guy at the store maintained they did but then came back. But he had *no* contact info on them. :?

I can't get more clowns, dottybacks are too aggressive, and gobies will deplete the 'pods I am farming for eventual Mandarins.

Where to get larval raised (larger) fish?

You know I'm all about concious reefkeeping.

Marine Propogations had an answering machine saying they were going out of business:

E X A C T L Y why it is necessary to give them business.

Is C-Quest up and running again?

Inland aquatics said they get their tank-raised from them...

PS please keep the links/suggestions coming, and thanks for the info folks

I try to buy only tank raised/reared or captive bred specimens for a very selfish reason: They are heartier, and have a better chance of survival than wild caught/collected species. This goes for corals as well as fish.

It's a shame that seahorses cost *so* much. Some of the big ones go for $150.

owwww

I'd rather have a massive Black Tiger clam or rose anemone for that kind of coin.

Mary - if you can get them and ship them, I'll happily buy them from you. Meantime I'll check the article. Thank you. :D

Keep 'em comin' folks - much obliged.

Hi  ,

If you ever make a purchase from Inland Aquatics, we could purchase a shipment together, thus saving money on shipping. I live right in Berkeley and am really looking into buy a purple monster acropora and a pair of bangaii.

Let me know.

Thanks berkeleyfishboi.

I'm in Oakland, so no problem. We should chat. Email me at jamesfargher@hotmail.

When I called I.A. it sounded like they have very little actually in stock.

I'm now kind of leaning towards FFE because I can get a Humu and Lemon Butterfly for my carnivore tank and a Naso for my big herbivore tank (thus giving my cleaner wrasses that much more fish to groom and eat from).

But at $42 just to ship a box of nothing, I totally agree it makes much more sense to split shipping and order together.

Email me.

Anyone know what's up with C-Quest?

Any other tank raised links folks? :D
