I am considering buying a 200 glass tank, stand, and canopy from the, but until a couple of days ago I had never heard of them. Who here has bought anything from them? What's your opinion about workmanship, quality, looks (Aesthetics) of their wood and glass work, etc?
I am a bit hesitant about buying such a large tank from someone I have never heard of.

PS: you can pm or e-mail me if you don't want to publicly talk about them, positive or negative.

fwiw-ask 'em what thickness of glass they use-also get a pic of the particular tank-to see how it's braced.

wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a tank that size via lfs?(taking into account shipping, etc.?)

bracing is with 3 glass pieces on the top. Thickness of glass is 1/2 inch. They do exhibits in many states and will me 20 min from me in 2 weeks. So no delivery or tax charges.
Have you ever heard of them? Have you or someone you know bought from them before?

sorry, no i haven't-but at only 1/2"-i'd say stay away from the 200 gal!

(skimping on thickness is why the price is what it is,-and 1/2" is way too thin, imho-{you run a very high risk of tank exploding-should probly be 3/4" )

90 days against leaks or any other manufacturing problem. Will replace te entire tank, not just fix it. I would either have to ship it at my cost or wait for them to come around again to a nearby show, which from looking at their site is quite often. If done that way, no shipping charges. This is actually no different than oceanic or all-glass. If they leak or you ahve a problem, you still ahve to ship it to them and pay for that too.

admittedly, it's been awhile since i've gone tank shopping-but both oceanic and all glass used to offer extended (at least a yr-sometimes longer) warranties when the tank was purchased with a stand from the company.

i still think 1/2" is too thin for the amount of pressure from that volume of water.anyone else?

i do know that there are actually tables with recommended glass thicknesses for given volumes and square footage areas-any engineers here that can help?
