Just stumbled onto their site and noticed they look HUGE! They are also open 7 days a week and from 10-7PM (great hours). I was thinking of taking a trip there this weekend (only 31 miles from me). Has anyone been there and do you recommend the trip?

I've been to their outlet location in Chatsworth quite often. They usually have a pretty good variety, but it's definitely "buyer beware" as far as livestock goes - many of their fish are sick and/or dying, and some of their prices are pretty good, while others aren't any better than average.
You can find some interesting things there, but given the choice, I'd go to Jeff's Exotic.

Yep, same place, at least so it say on my "membership" card - has both locations listed on the card. The membership card is not necessary, but gets you a cheaper price on dry goods (costs about $35 per year, IIRC).

Been there a few times... cool place, but the prices are a bit high - especially on the hardgoods. Live stock looks okay and they have a pretty decent variety of fish but a smaller selection of corals. They do have an awesome tank in the main area... I think its in the several thousand gallon variety with Jacks, a remora and I think some snapper. They have one hell of a big skimmer on the sucker.

This place was awesome!!! I don't want to knock Jeff's, but this store was the largest "fish store" I have ever seen and way better then Jeff’s.
When you walk in you see a huge 3000g FO tank w/ some HUGE fish. They even have chairs setup to sit and watch the thing. Then you move onto 2 500(I think)g reef tanks backed up to each other with all kinds of beautiful corals and fish. Then I entered the tank room. They had literally hundreds of tanks for sale. Tons of supplies, everything you could possible think of was at this store. After that I entered the livestock area. Rows upon rows of fish, coral, LR, LS, fresh water, etc. tanks. After that there are 3 1000g round containers with awesome sharks and rays. There was also 2 1000g round containers with Coy.
If you are in Southern CA and want to see an awesome store go check these guys out. It will not be a waste of time!

I've been to a lot of decent stores in my area. But this one is just soo big that it is fun to go and look even if you aren't buying anything. I could have spent hours looking at their huge reef tanks. When my tank is done cycling I plan on going down to this place to pick out some of my livestock.
I also wanted to note that all livestock was categorized. The mushrooms were by the mushrooms, caulerpa by the caulpra, lion fish by the lion fish, tangs by the tangs...This will make it really easy to pick out the best specimen because I can see what they look like right next to each other.

Lol...when I first saw that picture I thought "Man...those look familiar!"...then I saw it was posted by you! Looking good! Just watch out for that Xenia! It gets crazy after a while.
