Anyone use Sedra pumps? I am thinking of getting a 1200 for the price (compared to Mag-Drive), but would like to know if this brand of pumps has any long term issues?
I've got a 500 on my skimmer. I don't know about longevity, it's only been 1 1/2 years, but came home after 3 days absence once to find it stopped by a piece of grit. After cleaning, it took right off. I don't know how long it was stuck, though.
Sedras are great pumps (same as SEN's, only more sizes). Only issue is the occasional bad impeller that swells like in teh sen's, but most of them don't seem to do that... it's never happened to me and I have about 10 running. I've seen it twice in other peoples pumps.
