Do you have any Sarcophyton sp. in the tank?

It reminds me of a small Sarco (toadstool or umbrella offshoot), but it could also be a Majano anemone- which can be a pest.

It could also be a type of fuzzy mushroom, it is just still hard to tell by the pic.

How big is it?

I am leaning towards Majano.

My bet is still on majano anemone...

How long has it been there?
Has it grown any?
Has it moved?
Is it greenish in color?

Got this guy on a piece of rock. It hasnt moved at all and I looked it seemed as atached to the rock as a mushroom. At first I thought it to be some kind of shroom. The guy is redish brown with green tips almost like a torch but again the leathery body seems atached to the rock like a shroom.

I saw a couple of pics of Majano none looked like this guy. The pics I saw showed Majano stretching for light I guess the tips were round on one pic pointy on another. This guy has some tips branching(lil stubs popping out).
When I brought it home Sat I placed it low and not directly under light. I saw what I thought was similar to what my torch or closed brain have. a long some what white probe or stinger you know what I mean.? Also like galaxia. Any way today I placed it under direct light to see what happens.

Dont think this is any better but.....

The second photo seems to be a Ricordea yuma just starting to take shape. I also first thought you had an Anemonia manjano (note the correct spelling). The photo lacks sufficient detail such that I still think it could be Anemonia manjano dividing into several new polyps. Sharpness of focus would help!

Sincerely,

Julian Sprung[/u]
