I am nearing the finishing stages of Building my tank. Everything went great until the float valve and RODI filter was turned on. First, one of the compression fitting blew in the middle of the night and flooded my bathroom. Second, everytime I fix small leak a new one appears. Finally, the selenoid that shuts of the waste water, makes this horrible sound everytime the float valve demands water. As I typed this, I heard it ten times or so.

Any ideas on what I can do to stop it??? What do you other people do to minimize this? I think this could end my marriage.

Thanks,
Dave

When I ran a float setup, I shut off the input side, so the ro/di was not under presure like that, I thought they all worked that way

hi.
I think so too... who's plan did you follow to use the solenoid for the waste water? Did you mount the direction of the solenoid backward?

On my float setup, I use a timer that only allows water into the RO/DI for a set amount of time per day. Therfore the unit only runs a couple hours, and does not click on and off all day. If you do get a leak any where in the system, it will only put a small amount on the ground. HTH

P.S. The timer is under $20 at any Home Depot. :D
