Ditto what Greg Said. Use the PVC Cleaner to clean everything that's joining really well. Next cement as you normally would. Let cure for at least 24 hours. I like to flush everything w/ Freshwater too, before using it in/on my systems.
ditto. primer first, it softens the pvc. cement second, and give it a 1/4-1/2 turn as you're attaching the pieces. Make sure the pipe bottoms out in the fitting and hold it for a few seconds so it won't back out on you.
yeah, I've used it even quicker then 2 hrs. the stuff sets pretty quick, and you'll have a max of 3-5 minutes to pull apart glue joints with a pair of channel locks. After that it's pretty much a done deal, so if you screw up a plumb joint keep a pair of cutters or a silly saw handy!
I screwed one up yesterday, I knew I did it instantly, and I had a set of channel locks next to me, no more than 10 seconds had past, and I couldnt get that sucker to budge.
I was in McDonough last week. Put a tank in Chris Tucker's house back in Eagle'e Landing... I think that was the name of the development. 500 gallon fish only, with a rubber reef. Stayed at the lovely Microtel on Country Club Drive.
