Hello reefers

I am in the process of setting up my 175 gallon reef tank and was thinking of setting up:
1 refugium with livesand and liverock and macroalgea
1 refugium with miracle mud as substrate and to grow red mangroves

Is the 2nd refugium unnecessary for nutrient export ?

Is the 2nd refugium unnecessary for nutrient export ?

The second refugium is unnecessary and mangroves don't export a lot of nutrients. OTOH, if you just want to grow a mangrove, it's a good way to do it.
