Someone donated a KNOP HD reactor to the lab. I only got to glance at it, but I didn't notice an obvious needle valve or any effluent control. Do these reactors have the needle valve built into the reactor top? I'll get a better look tomorrow, but I can't see how the last owners were controlling effluent.

Thanks,
Chris

Why don't you ask the crew at wetwebmedia? Bob's wife is a Knop rep. ;)

I used the small Knop reactor before and IIRC it does not come with a needle valve. Strange, I know, but I recall having to buy a "raindrop" needle valve at home depot.

Do you remember how much the valve cost Len?

SM, I didn't know Bob's wife was in the biz... :)

I used a needle valve from petco on my old knop, by default they are supposed to run 2lph if I remember right, but I needed mine to run faster, so I pumped water into it, rather than letting it gravity feed.

Thanks Mega.
Yesterday was not a good day. The threads on the bubble counter had not been teflon-wrapped by the owner, so a very slow leak, almost unnoticeable, had formed. I sure noticed when the afternoon after hooking up the reactor the pH of not only the system with the reactor on it, but all the systems within ten feet, were down to 7.8.

Oh well, a little aeration and all was well.
