I bought two of them from harbor aq. last week. cant find one now do they bury themshelfs in the sand. I do see little piles of white sand here and there.

Indeed, if they're the sand-sifting species. Do keep an eye on your parameters, just in case.

I've never seen my tiger tail bury itself in the sand. They do hide in behind the rock when the lights are on.

Mine consumes sand from one end and generally poops the "clean" sand back in mounds inside the rock structure. He is 18" long and has been here a couple of years now.

Generally, he comes out at nite to do his dirty work. 8) He divided once, so far. There is information available with the search function regarding tiger tail splits.

My "split" has not ever grown to the length of the parent. It seems stunted.

It's funny trying to understand cuke poops clean sand........

My cukes often hides in darker places, I only see mine occasionally.

i have 3 tiger tails over 9" in length in my reef it started from one and now i have 3. they hide in the rock work during the day but as soon as i turn the lights out they hit the beach and clean up the sand and leave little piles of clean sand poop. in the mornings before i turn the lights on i have seen them on the glass eating from there also.
