I'm looking for good store display tanks to photograph. Any suggestions?

Hey Len,

I second the nomination for Aquarium City ( http://www.theaquariumcity.com/Displays ... 25reef.htm )...not as good as it used to be, but still pretty nice.

The 120g of Tong's in Fountain Valley is OK if you like rose anemones (full of rose anemones, and they used to have a Z. gemmatum, which I haven't seen in a while, so I assume it didn't make it).

There used to be tons more stores that had nice display tanks, but I guess they weren't maintained properly. :(

Let us know if you post any pics anywhere! :D

Thanks guys. Yeah, AC was on my list. Since Dustin left, it hasn't been quite the same, but it's still a worthwhile trip.

I'll be posting the images in our Photo Gallery forum.

Tri-City Tropical fish (Oceanside, California) has one good display tank with tons of corals and 1 huge 36" long tentacled rose anenome.

Len,

I just got home after puting 450 miles on the car visiting various fish stores. Below is the list of stores visited today:

1. Aquatic Warehouse (5466 Complex St Suite 204, San Diego Ca 92123 858-467-9297)
2. Encinitas Tropicals (378 N. El Camino Real, Encinitas, Ca 92024 760-634-2427)
3. Fish 2000 (13011 Newport Ave, Tustin Ca 92780 714-838-1862)
4. Tong's (8976 Warner Ave, Fountain Valley Ca, 714-842-2733)
5. Jeff's Exotic (115 West Victoria St, Gardena Ca 90248, 310-817-1176)
6. Aquatic Outlet (427 S. Hindry Ave, Inglewood Ca 90301, 310-641-4664)
7. Tropical Illusion (Ventura Ca)
8. Aquarium City

Out of the above listed, the only stores worth driving to take pics IMO are:
1. Aquatic Warehouse
2. Tong's (two awsome reef tanks, but has white grease pencil writing on front glass of both)
3. Jeff's Exotic (AWSOME reef tank display)
4. Aquatic Outlet (two aquariums that looked to be 200gal+ facing back to back of one another. One has a the biggest flower pot I have ever seen. Its arms where as thick as my fingers.)

IMO, Tropical Illusion and Aquarium City where not worth the drive.

I gave the address and numbers to the stores I have cards for incase you need to make a map off of mapquest.

We picked up some great frags from just about every store. And I was lucky to stumble across at Tropical Illusions a Pseudojuloides severnsi (Black-hat Slender wrasse (image below). Ofcourse it made the trip home with me :)
