I've got an Iwaki70 pump I want to use as my closed loop Circulation. I want to mount it to the wall behind my tank (see pic here). The pump's output is opposite the mounting holes in the base of the pump, so I don't have a lot of room between the pump's output, and the back wall of the tank. If I could take off the top, rotate the thing around 90 degree's, and screw it back on, I would be able to plumb the output parallel to the tanks back, and have a lot more room for things like fittings, valves, 90's, etc. Can I do this, or will it alter the operation of the pump?
TIA.

Actually, now that I look at it closer and think about it, there are 6 screws evenly spaced, so I could rotate it in multiple's of 60-degree's, but even that would be better than straight into the back of the tank.

hi.
You can mount the whole pump on a verticle platform (effective rotating it 90 degree) if that 60 degree rotation does not work out well for you.
