Is rough current a problem for any coral? Will a double 65 watt pc and a
40 watt actinic 03 be enouph light for my pulsating xenia that sits about 10 inches under the water surface? The xenia fragment seems ok for now but doesnt pulse as hard as the big one it was cut from.

Thanks for the help,
-Chris

Most Xenia like moderate to slow current. The amount of light is bouderline for Xenia, so you may want more if possible. Many thing determines the "pulsate rate" of Xenia, and if anyone tell you one specific parameter, he/she probably did not keep them long enough to realize whatever was said is not always true.

Let me start of as a fool by saying that it takes energy to pulse, so the amount of light is a main factor in the pulse rate. So maybe you need more light?!?!

Iodine may also be a factor but there is other factors. I grew micrspiulata and elenagata well using NO flourecents many years ago, the "pom-pom red sea xenia" did better under my MH light.
