Be careful with that heater. It will eventually pop off from the side and could burn a hole in your plastic sump. I would put it on the bottom horizontally or move it to your other sump

agreed....its not even on...my tank stays warm all the time livin in texas...goes down to 78 at night..stays at 80 in the day

Just outa curiosity, what's the point of the HOT Magnum? Were you just doing some water polishing, or is that a permanent fixture?

Also, have you noticed much splashback onto your powerstrips?

PeeJ, the setup looks nice.

The only thing that makes me nervous are those powerstrips/cords/plugs dangling over the sump.

Do you have a GFI?

yea they are going to get moved soon...either that or im ganna resucre them with zip ties through the wood and around the strips...and yes that plug im pretty sure is on the gfci in my bathroom...if one of the plugs tripps it trips like half the upstairs too

i agree with chrisrd, there must be alot of crystalization with that water column falling so far from the pipe to the water., looks nice though!!!

yea there is...my returns are above water too along the back...but i just run my finger along the edge and pop it all back in....not too much work


i made a big spray bar type thing that runs along back...lots of holes in a pipe...it looks prettty cool and helps stir up the surface of the water.
