I am going to be shipping some coral (Kenya Tree) and I was wondering if it would help to put pure oxygen in the bag instead of “room air”. I have a few bottles of Oxygen laying around that they sent home with my babies from the hospital (preemies). They don’t use it so I thought it might help with the shipping.

Probably won't hurt, but more important when you ship high metabolism animal like fish. For coral, many people ship it with room air without significant result in DOA rate (very limited sample size ;)) when compare to O2 packaging.

I pack everything with oxygen - I've got a huge tank from a welding company, and pack all fish and inverts with it.

If you are shipping overnight or longer, it's definitely indicated.

I would think corals would be ok with regular room air. For fish, oxygen would def be beneficial....
